  • Architecture and Urban Development at the University of Technology in Delft, where his graduation project was based upon "A Rembours" by 19th century French author J.K. Huysmans

  • Works as an independent architect

    1989-94
  • Begins his Fine Arts career with a commission by the Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst for a housing area in Amsterdam-Noord

    1996
  • Inherits an archive of 20.000 transparencies from a family friend and decides to base all of his further art work on the archive
